Finally went to the new Living Room last night (to see Warnick). Wow, it's cavernous. I always enjoyed going to the LR, but didn't savor that cramped, climbing-over-people feeling...That situation is solved, with a sizeable front bar and a large back music room with a real stage.

Warnick put on a good show, rearranging some ol' classics...he's playing with former Skeleton Key/Mono Puff drummer Steve Calhoun, who seemed to be having a lot of fun, with a soporific grin on his face and the occasional drummer sing-along. I have noted, on the record, that I love when drummers sing along to a song, even though they don't have to and aren't mic'd.

Ate dinner at the former Baby Jupiter...can't remember the name of the new place (and can't find it on the web), but it's excellent. They've completely rehauled the space, installing lots of natural wood, to give it a French bistro sorta feel. Great tapas menu, good fries, and the bathrooms have improved 100%.

Saw Julianne Moore walking on Greene Street, crossing Houston. She was lovely and unassuming.

As the song goes, "That's right, the girl chimp is smarter..."
