2004-07-05 - 4:26 a.m. I was convinced that something terrible and apocalyptic was going to happen on 7/4/04, and I guess it didn't. And I managed to see fireworks in the only manner in which I ever enjoy them: completely by accident. I was walking to the subway and--BLAM!--there they were over the river, and there I was with an unobstructed view from the sidewalk. And dang if they weren't lovely. thoughts?
