2004-11-22 - 11:36 a.m. Was all excited to read Jonathan Lethem's new book, but I can't say I'm enjoying it all that much. I may just not be in the mood for his particular brand of realism and fantasy. Starts off pretty good, although I felt a confusion of familiarity and rage when he used my beloved Mafia game as the main hook in the first story. Rented North by Northwest this weekend...what a weird flick. The protagonist's bickering/flirtatious relationship with his mama is a little weird...but this an enjoyable romp on the whole.
