However, it should be noted that I also picked up another "shoulda read it in high school" selection, Tortilla Flat, because, well, I like tortillas (and very short books). And I started reading that, along with the whale book, and simultaneously, The Finer Points of Sausage Dogs. It's a bad habit, but I'm having trouble focussing on just one novel. thoughts?
