2006-01-30 - 3:18 p.m. Just found out about Wendy Wasserstein. Sad. Too young, too young. Rhett Miller has a new album on Verve Forecast, and it rocks sweetly. The acoustic guitars are gigantic; I am worried they might jump out of the speakers and attack small cities and eat people and dogs and guitars smaller than themselves. And in my never-ending quest to find music that is relaxing and yogic but not too squicky, I am happy to have stumbled across Murcof, a Mexican ambient/electronica composer who uses chamber instruments as well as electronic doodads to create drifty but compelling musique... thoughts?
