2006-06-06 - 3:38 p.m. Some of my favorite organs are vestigial. Aside from today being the Day of the Beast, it also marks the 34th anniversary of this album. Finally got around to listening to the new Mission of Burma album, in all its murky glory. I wanted very much to like this better than I actually do. Having lived with the new Cheap Trick album a few days more, my admiration for it (and them) has increased. They are pulling off prime Cheap Trick arena-pop, but it sounds so of-this-era, because this is an era they helped to build.
