2006-07-19 - 8:06 a.m. Granted, it was really hot yesterday and I wasn't right in the head, but this book made me laugh on the subway, to the point of tears. It's a magical combination (like much of McSweeney's-era humor writing) of Sahara-dry wit and goofy hilarity. Interestingly, in the same way that New Yorkers will barely glance at you if you're getting decapitated with a chainsaw , people also look the other way when you're joyful and happy. No one asks, "What causeth such racket?"
