What I like about watching The K's perform is that it always looks like they're having fun. There's also the novelty of the trombone deployed as an instrument of rockin'.

The high point of their show last night at Bar Matchless was the exciting moment when Ray's guitar strap broke, sending shockwaves through the crowd. How would he cope? What would he do?!

Luckily, there was another strap onhand, and an entertainment disaster was averted.

Other stuff I'm liking today:

  • The Elanors
  • The Evens, (who don't sound like Fugazi at all, 'cept lyrically)
  • Oakley Hall, who played in town last night but I missed 'em.

Aside from being awoken by helocopters this morning, I completely missed out on the marathon, which starts, pretty much, right by my house. Oh, well, hope it was a good one.

Did anyone watch? Any good sightings?
