2007-01-09 - 10:53 a.m. I have just discovered this secret fun thing that happens at Rockwood Music Hall on Wednesdays. People are challenged to cover songs from the Billboard Top Hundred of a particular year....this week is 1969 and who knew that "Polk Salad Annie" by Tony Joe White was in the charts?! I spent the remaining days of my vacation nursing a cold/sort throat and didn't do much but read and watch Day 5 of 24. Naturally, when I heard reports of a mysterious gas odor, I assumed it was because good-looking Russian terrorists had unleashed canisters of deadly nerve gas on our unsuspecting city. thoughts?
