Briefly!

  • I enjoyed watching Charlie Wilson's War, intrigued by the almost sitcom-y approach to a serious and "true" story. P.S. Hoffman is great, and doesn't do his usual thing here, and the DVD extras include an entertaining piece about the real Congressman Wilson. I like that one of my favorite zen/taoist stories is referenced at the end, to good effect.

  • Thomas Function (a band, not a person, apparently) is cool. Check out "Peanut Butter and Paranoia Jam" on their MySpace page.

  • I am not a big fan of the new ruffles trend.
