My favorite blog lately is Ephemeral New York, which features photos and other representations of NYC locations back in the day, as well as old stuff still in existence, like weird signs and old ads.

I appreciate the dedication that goes into a blog like that, and I can never get enough of Olde New York, even if it's from the 1980s (when the city looked completely different).


This Sunday: the Brooklyn Book Festival! The list of authors and events looks really groovy, and it's free!

Strangely, Ian MacKaye is going to be there. (And from the looks of the top page, the late Isaac Asimov is due to appear, too.)
