2008-09-30 - 10:23 a.m. Soon I will be out from under this mountain of deadline. Until then, some short observations: The Louise Wener book was ok. The Juliana Hatfield memoir was sad, inspiring, pretty well-written, annoying in parts, but overall a really satisfying read. Rob Kapilow's book is pretty cool, too. It's both a classical music primer and a subtle invitation to just pay closer attention to life. (Although, ironically, I skipped a few chapters. Hey, it's non-fiction, you're allowed.)
