2009-04-09 - 11:37 p.m. I was thinking about libraries today--I love libraries, and always have, and always will, even if we all stop reading and just toodle around our moon-colonies with book-pods. Anyway, I remembered that Chicago had a "tool library" the last time I was there, so I did a google search on "non-book libraries" and other variants, and came up with nothing but...other tool libraries. It's a start. I wish every town had some kind of lending library of non-book items--clothes, sports equipment, musical instruments. I suppose Zip Car riffs on this idea. Does your town have some kind of weird lending program?
