2009-06-01 - 10:40 a.m. Hey, every once in a while I can tolerate banjos. For instance, when Mumford and Sons wield 'em: And also in a folk vein is my latest musical excitement: King Creosote, a prolific home-recordist and label-owner with a voice of pure beauty and intricate, interesting songs that don't just sit there. Such joy in finding an artist who has already recorded 40 albums--no danger of running out of stuff to explore. I have no great love for Wilco, but I think Glenn Kotche's solo work is hypnotic.
