Just finished reading Che's Afterlife: The Legacy of an Image. Good stuff.

I love history books that sidle up to their subject rather than taking a straight-ahead biographical approach. This well-written and -researched (and -reasoned) book is about a single photographic image of Che Guevera, and how it helped pollinate the idea of "revolution." Casey makes a case for Che as an example of early (and successful) "product branding."

Have been getting into the been-around-forever Cuban group Irakere, and discovered that one of their best songs was on the soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto. OK, whatevs.
