I love the Container Store. A few months ago, I bought a clear box there that is divided into six parts and holds tea bags. It's so much neater than the jumble of tea boxes that used to be on top of our microwave. Re: wrapping paper, though, I am very much in the "buy one roll, shove it in closet, use 'til done" camp. Actually I keep two rolls on hand, one for Xmas and one for everything else. I don't need a fancy box for that.

We don't have Container Stores here - but the concept is intriguing to me. I don't know why, I like the idea of specialized containers. I think it's related to the part of my brain that goes all tingly when things are well-designed, or well-made. Does the Container Store sell containers to contain containers for which you haven't found a use yet? Oh - and god yes on the "real bass players and drummers" thing. Some music demands drum machines; some demands drummers.

I disagree with the assessment of Muppets Take Manhattan. Despite your blog, it is still my favorite Muppet Movie (and they say the blogosphere is influential in shaping public opinion, hah!). I was just thinking about it the other day in fact. I find the section where the group splits up and everyone tries to find their own thing to do very poignant. And I found a karaoke place in Chicago that has Solsbury Hill. It's actually a very difficult song to sing. I totally mucked it up even though I know the song backwards and forwards.

I also just stick my wrapping paper in a corner of the closet, but I find that it often gets damaged by the other things I cram in there, Fibber McGee style. So I can see where a container might be useful. But I can't imagine actually buying one.

Well, BP, I know what I'm getting you and Mr. Party for a wedding gift! But I won't wrap it. (That and matching "More Zippers, Mule! t-shirts.)
