Alarmingly cute ducks eating helpless goldfish. We were watching the same thing, which makes even more of an impression on young kids. Reminded me of one of the more gruesome nature out of whack moments I have witnessed: A pelican eating an alarmingly cute duck. Took place in St James park in London, and the pelican took some 20 minutes to choke down the duck, whose struggles stretched the outsized pouch of the pelican. As the duck struggled an old man who was feeding the duck kept trying to hit the pelican with his cane. Otherwise peaceful St James park took on the feel of Animals gone wild.

I love how "...alarmingly, cute ducks" has turned into "alarmingly cute ducks" because that's how I read it the first time, and it's how I feel about ducks.
