I have the exact same watch, though in my case with a ruggedly masculine stretch metal band. It is indeed the thermonuclear device.

I have also owned that particular Timex, and it is perfect. However, I'm currently sporting a Swatch, gift from Mr. Party, which is almost perfect, except it only has the numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9 (Arabic, not Roman, thank god). The other numbers are represented by a straight line.

I would not be able to deal with the ambiguity. But I have seen your Swatch, and it is indeed a beauty.

I knew you were a man with discerning taste.

I'm wearing a very similar watch right now. The only add-on is the Indiglo, which lights the face when the fob is pressed - good for long movies.

Who needs a watch? There are clocks everywhere. (Hey, you: stop playing that crappy old Chicago song.)

Must disagree w/ 2fs -- clocks are nowhere to be found nowadays, when you really need them. No bank, or any other such institution that makes you wait for an insufferable amount of time, seems to have them anywhere in view. I don't think you find them on Subways in NYC and you certainly don't see them from the freeway. Whenever I wear mine (I tend to use my cel as pocketwatch, nowadays), I am continually asked for the time. Watches -- needed now more than ever!

Tom, I also found that I never knew what time it was during the 3 weeks I was watchless. Very few clocks in NYC, and none of seem to be correct. Since my job doesn't require extreme punctuality, it wasn't too bad, but I'm glad to have my li'l wrist friend.

This is the watch I have. I must know the exact time down to the second at all times, without having to constantly reset it. Plus, I never learned how to tell time with those analog watches. The whole thing with the big hand and the little hand is very confusing.

Why are digital watches round?

Okay, that link didn't work. Try this: http://www.timex.com/bin/detail.tmx?item=048148002463

That is futuristic and space agey, Rog!

The best part is the fashionable velcro strap.
