I was on the fence about going to see '3-Iron' in the theaters or wait till DVD - and this review has me inclined towards the latter course of action. I have seen Kim Ki-Duk's 'The Isle', which I thought was quite good, albeit a bit disturbing in its' presentation of male-female relations. Korea seems quite the hot-bed of cinema right now, what with Chanwook Park (director of 'OldBoy', one of my favorites from last year), Je-gyu Kang's 'The Brotherhood of War', and Ji-woon Kim's 'A Tale of Two Sisters' all surfacing (to considerable critical praise) all at the same time.

I think your absolutely right, Paula. 3-Iron was lovely, and it held my attention throughout, but in the end, the story seemed just like anything else. I didn't know the main characters never spoke to each other, though, and I didn't even notice.
