This has nothing to do with today's entry, but I tore it out of the Daily News on Monday and wanted to make sure you knew about it before you hopped on a Fung Wah to Boston:
Bus lines eyed
Sen. Chuck Schumer called for more inspections of discount Chinatown bus lines yesterday, almost two weeks after one burst into flames on a Connecticut highway. "If you don't toughen up safety on these buses then we have a disaster waiting to happen," Schumer said, "The buses are not up to snuff."
Three popular lines -- Dragon Coach, New Century and Fung Wah, whose bus caught fire on I-95 -- are three times more dangerous than the national average, according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Wowee! Thanks, Sue, that is really sad.

I'll be interested to hear what you think of the Klosterman book once you've finished. I recently picked up the copy of Fargo Rock City that an ex left behind, and had to stop halfway through because I hated his writing style and theories so much. I figured that maybe it's not worth finishing something that's spawning author-murder fantasies. :)

I'm 1/3 through KYTL (which I had to read because its title is taken from a Black Sabbath song), and I totally get what Amy's saying about his "slacker" persona. It's very mopey & self-absorbed, but interesting so far. The Bill Maher book is exactly like the ones Dennis Miller used to release: bits of monologue arranged on paper. The audio book gies by rather quickly, so there's less time to get annoyed by his self-pity re: his show getting cancelled.

Hmm...not sure this new design is as readable, or as nice-looking, as that soothing deep maroon shade... Anyway: "Lobster Chronicles"? See, I told ya there's a need for "lobster typing zone" signs!

Editrix: Klosterman I have a complex opinion about which I'll develop when I have some time.

2FS: Really, you no like? I thought these colors were light and airy.
