Does George perform? I thought it was just an interview, but Amazon has him doing "Bangla Desh." ?

Glad you like this little Cavett collection, Paula. As I was saying before, Cavett and his predecessor Jack Paar were in a class by themselves as talk show hosts and they're always a revelation after decades of Carson, Letterman, and Leno. This was before the Carson formula of basically not bothering to interview the musical acts (I started to say "rock musicians," but Carson detested rock) got set in stone. The Museum of TV & Radio on 52nd Street offers a huge trove of Cavett shows, by the way. Definitely catch the ones with Orson Welles the next time you're there.

I looked it up before using it--it's a real word!
