I think I recommended this to you way back over the summer months, when I first saw it -- remarkably effecting, in a way no other movie I've seen this year (and like few films I've ever seen, for that matter) has been. Looking forward to more films from Miss July.

You did recommend it--thanks!

Wow, I'm 3 for 3 in this one -- I too am a fan of Cat Stevens, "Truth and Beauty" and "Me and You..." There's a cover of Cat's "I Think I See the Light" on the forthcoming Loud Family CD, mainly because Joe bugged Scott to record it (Scott has performed it live several times).

Hey, hey hey, whoa. I recommended that movie to you also last summer, if I recall. But, I'm not trying to hog any attention. . .

I'm also not trying to hog any attention; just my due share, of course ...

Okay, you convinced me; I picked up Cat Stevens 'Gold' Friday (because I too have fond memories of listening to Mr. Stevens in days all too long past) and have been listening to it almost non-stop like the O.C.D. patient that I know myself to be. Thanks for the reminder! (how's that for hogging attention? Two comments on one entry. Hah!!!)

Yay, I'm glad I could be of service.

When I was a senior in college, my brother was in his first year at the same school, and his elected "freshman seminar" (roundtable course for newbies) was The Singer-Songwriter. He wrote his final paper on Cat Stevens. Being the kind, older sister that I was, I typed it for him, and basically wrote the conclusion since he was struggling with it. "We" got an A-. My jock kid bro got to spend 10 weeks studying songwriting for college credit. No fair!

Oh, I'd love to read that paper!
