A tap-dancing midget. I was coming out of that movie theatre just above Union Square on the opening night of "Friends & Neighbors" several years ago when I was confronted with Steve Buscemi standing in front of the curb in rapt conversaion with a bearded midget. Resisting the impulse to rub my eyes, I looked around for the camera, but there wasn't one. As for the dream about the mouse, it's possible that he'd earlier scurried across your bed on his way to his demise in the sink and you incorporated him into your reverie. That's probably at least as likely as a coincidence or a vision.
