When I left work last night at around 5:30, I noticed it was much lighter then usual. It was uplifting!

Thanks for taking the Rent bullet! Not that I really had any intention of renting it anyway.

"Rent" is a cultural phenomenon? I guess I need to pay more attention...

It's one of the longest-running shows on B'way. It must be speaking to someone...

ugh, I eye-rolled my way through the stage version of Rent ten years ago. It was hokey and melodramatic like any musical can be and yet purported to be dealing with substantive issues like AIDS (and in 1996 was AIDS really an "edgy" subject matter?), addiction, poverty (so perhaps that made the hokeyness all the more prominent?) That said, it set my expectations low enough that when I scored a free ticket to The Full Monty, I actually found it surprisingly good and entertaining. Go figure.

Ha! Well, that's a nice ending.

I was real sad to hear on the radio today that Kermit, one of them chimps, has passed.

Yep. Poor Kermit, jeez.
