Twins running a country. It's the weirdest thing I've ever seen. (God, I wish Bill Clinton had a twin!) With the new fertility drugs creating so many twins these days (I somehow actually know more parents in NY with twins than with single babies), eventually anyone without a twin will be considered at a disadvantage. There will be glaring exceptions, though: I had a close friend years ago who literally had an evil twin. They looked exactly alike, only his twin would routinely get into fistfights and barroom brawls, and would always wind up beating the hell out of his women. This was in a fairly medium-sized city so the poor normal brother was constantly coping with the fallout and having to try to convince people that that wasn't him, that was his identical twin.

This week's "Time Out New York" features a little sidebar about Dylan's reaction to the Twyla Tharp show using his music: "I have no talent for flattery whatsoever, but Twyla's artistry knocks me out. [''The Times''] is the best presentation of my songs I have ever seen or heard on any stage. It had a hold over me from start to finish." Of course Dylan is doubtless getting a big percentage of whatever the show rakes in.

"He'd want you to smile and remember him for what he was -- a wild and crazy monkey." Sounds like a great way to be remembered to me.

Indeed. It made me sad to know that he didn't like wearing his hat, but I guess every job has its little pesterments.

It made me sad to know that he didn't like wearing his hat...Yeah when I read that I thought, "Then why do you make him wear the hat if you KNOW he doesn't like it???" Then I noticed in the picture he wasn't wearing the hat so maybe he takes it off at the earliest opportunity. Did it ever occur to these people that maybe the hat and his "temper tantrums" were related?

Maybe Chico got bent because he didn't have a Mrs. Chico. Aren't capuchins celibate?

Michael:

Ha! That's pretty cool.

Greg:

Yes, and they drink a lot of coffee--no wonder he was tense.
