What a fantastic promotion! Well done, Netflix! Treasure Hunt??? Genius? The Warriors is an enigma, inside a conundrum, wrapped in a fajita, or however that saying goes. There is so much wrong with it that it's nearly the perfect film--a violent film that somehow still makes me feel good about living in NYC. Bonus points for footage of NYC and especially Coney Island how I saw it the first time. IMDB gets bonus points for their movie trivia section on The Warriors.

Also interesting to note that some of the gangs were named after existing rock bands, but the list of gang names has spawned about a dozen newer bands, including the Baseball Furies (great live band), Turnbull AC's, and Gramercy Riffs.

Amatt--I'm not kidding when I say that if I had been in The Warriors, even as an extra, I would be satisfied with all my life accomplishments... except if it had been as a member of that sissy gang that they got the girl (Mercy) from.

Spent the first 11 years of my life in Brooklyn, almost all of it between Brooklyn College and Prospect Park along Flatbush, and another year in Queens. I think you're the other side of the park from there, if I remember my geography correctly.
