Peter Zaremba's Nose would be a great band name... or part of a witch's incantation a la Eye of Newt, Nose of Zaremba!!!!

Mark Lanegan is at the top of my list of Best Things About The 90s and definitely #1 on my list of People That Keep Seattle From Sucking so I'll have to buy this new one today.

Word. I love his voice, he sings like a man.

Infusium is not a word

No, it's a treatment.

My favorite was someone writing about his "ideal" stereophile sound system, which featured speaker cables made of "unobtanium".

Ooooh puns give me "malacranium." By the way, get ready for a Netflickular autumn. Hart to Hart has been released on DVD!

Oh, lordy. Why do you tell me these things?

Actually, I have been revisiting many TV shows from my yoot via 'flix, and finding a lot of them kind of stupid and boring (shock!). I was saddened to realize that I Love Lucy isn't as funny when you're an adult as it is when you're 7 and think you don't have anything better to do.

But Columbo, as I've noted here before, stands up, as does Bob and MTM, and most of Fawlty Towers.

Infusium and Scientology (as words) aren't so much puns as 'supposed-to-sound-stupid-enough-to-be-arresting-but-annoying-if-they-sound-stupider-than-that-to-you' marketing sounds.

Scientologists are infected with Insanium

About the only shows from my yoot that I still really like are L'il Rascals and anything with the Bowery Boys.

Isaac Hayes - 2006-09-18 13:19:24
Now Fawlty Towers (particularly when he/it stands up) is a pun, but one has to differentiate them from mish-mashes, just as one has to be careful to differentiate me from Ira. (Which, though not a pun, may be as unclear as the origin of Inclement Seymour.)

I just got Itunes 7, and the best thing about it is the "gapless album" feature where finally you can play an album like "Abbey Road" or "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" and have it go correctly, and beautifly, from song to song! whew! (you've got to set it up in get info).
