Hey I like the redesign! Change is good. I didn't have a big problem with the white background, but the seafoam(?) is nice.

Bare Jr. must be getting better with each release. THere were 2 songs on his first that I loved and the rest, eh. The second a couple more. Fifty-Fifty is pretty darn good odds. I think most albums could be limited to old LP length anyway, and that goes for most artists. Cool that Joe Lally's solo is good. Have you heard The Evens? Mr. and Mrs. (?) MacKaye did their relatively quiet, understated thing last year. It's really good. The boys are big Fugazi fans, btw, which is fun. Not half bad role models either, on several levels.

I haven't heard the Evens yet, but I'm looking forward to their new one. What makes you think he's married to the drummer?

I don't know if they're married but someone told me they'd been an item for ages. That may or may not be true. Or maybe it's Mrs. and Mr. Farina? Ian is sort of non-traditional that way. Pleasant surprise in the songs on the first album--much less heavy handed than a lot of Fugazi lyrics, and very solid songs that sounded GREAT played live.

Mike Grimes is the Grimey of Grimeys, of which you've heard me speak umpteen times. One of Nashville's good guys.

A-ha! Cool, Miles.
