Saw the trailer for '13' this past Fall, and that alone sold me on seeing it; Netflix has it in my hot little hands as we speak -- and speaking of the French, they seem to specialize in unlikely looking male leads; this fellow seems to be their biggest male star at the moment; he's a good actor, though...

I'd expand that to include almost all non-Hollywood actors...one of the best things about (truly) indie and foreign films is the greater range of physical types.

In the case of the Tzameti kid, though, he is good-looking in a fairly conventional, if hipster-y, way....he could be in the Strokes, could probably be a Calvin Klein model.

Vincent Cassel is a great actor. I don't think he's considered ugly - and he is married to Monica Bellucci, so there you go! Matthieu Kassovitz is also a favorite in France - he's rather cuter, at least in Amelie - but they'll always take character over looks. Except in the case of Vincent Perez, who can't act, but boy, is he beautiful.
