I downloaded some over the weekend, but I'm still TOO AFRAID to listen. What do you/everyone consider the last truly great Iggy album?

The last Iggy I truly enjoyed track for track was Brick By Brick. I even liked the track Butt Town. The last truly great one... I'd have to say Idiot, but I can't say I'm familiar enough with all the 80s and 90s output to dismiss them as less than good.

Aside from the big hits, I'm not that familiar with his post-Stoogery, except KILL CITY with James W.

He's one of those artists (like David Byrne, the Go-Between boys, and Neil Finn) whose solo work I would like to explore in depth someday but just haven't gotten around to yet.

"New Values" anybody?

Oh, and that Kate Pierson duet -- "Candy Candy Candy I can't let you go..."!

New Values was pretty good. Great? I'd have to listen again. Candy was off Brick by Brick--That was a killer single. It's got that something special--you could pick it up and drop it into any point in time in the last 30 years and it would sound as good. Timelessness? Is that the word? Dunno--I like it.

Er, I thought "Candy" was a little...er...
