I just picked up the new Ian Hunter album--had to, though I haven't heard a single track--full report to come.

Hey, it's on Yep Roc--and thus Emusic!

It's funny--I'm by no means a completist that has to own everything by a favorite artist--but in this case I'd almost feel unfaithful not taking the leap of faith.

Re Ian Hunter--Really good rock and roll album. A couple weaker moments where he reaches too far into statements on the state of the world, but some killer tracks also. "When The World Was Round" is my favorite so far.

Heard the album's first track yesterday and thought it was really good. I was driving and so the street noise was getting in the way, but it sounded a bit "Freedyesque" to me.

Anne--that's a good call actually--There's definitely a Hoboken kind of vibe to the whole album. Ian Hunter has been hanging out with James Mastro also, who appears on several tracks. It's really good, definitely worth buying.

Ha, just checked the credits for Shrunken Heads and Graham Maby plays bass. He was the bassist on Can You Fly. I think Andy Burton has Hoboken musical roots, as well.
