Western swing is not my favorite either, but there's a fellow named Jim Campilongo that always plays at The Knitting Factory that's super cool. Big Sandy & The Fly-Rite Boys were fun too.

I like super hard rock for weight lifting, by the way, at very high volume also. It totally works... but I'm also not doing timed stuff. When I was in school we used to keep Deep Purple's Made In Japan on all the time.

Yeah, in this case, the music is not meant to be motivating. I'm doing slow-cadence stuff, which is supposed to be done in a meditative and calm fashion.

Music always motivates me to do something. That's probably going to get me in trouble one day. Someone got pissed off at me on the train this morning for tapping my foot.

OK, I'm following Greg off topic a little here, but for motivational workout music, which I don't really do anymore, once I found "Blood Sugar Sex Magic" I never went back, for years!

A thought on marmosets--Would they be as cute if they had the exact same features but were 11 feet tall?

iwombat - 2007-07-14 11:58:16
Hey Greg, I think I saw that movie, aahhhh!!
-------------------------------
Paula - 2007-07-14 14:37:07
I think that might violate some rules of cuteness

Greg - 2007-07-14 18:00:17
Ahhh, so it's all about scale. So if all these wee cuties were irradiated and became immense, they would no longer be cute. Wombat, you are probably thinking of Night of the Lepus, and not Night of the Lemur, or Dawn of the Marmoset.

Hooray for Tom Ze! Magnetic Fields' "Punk Love" clocks in at :59 and has that speed-up-the-tempo thing if you're looking to push yourself.
