The one time I met Paul W., he was, I'm afraid to say, a bit of a churlish jerk. Maybe he was just having a bad day (we all do), but my impression of him isn't all that positive... To balance that out, when I met Mike Watt at a bar before a Minutemen show, he was friendly and gregarious as hell.

Yeah, I get the feeling PW is annoyed by how much people worship him (which is refreshing) and so he does not go out of his way to be friendly to strangers, even normal, non-worshipers.

Cool to see that the Carino lady has remained humble! Paul Westerberg once hurt my feelings. Paul Weller called me the really bad word that starts with a "C." Twice, as a matter of fact, the incidents about 15 years apart, which is really kind of funny.
