Agreed - I forget where I recently read some profile or other of JV, and I was surprised that his production work was listed first: not that there's anything wrong with that work, but geez, he's a brilliant songwriter and arranger and a fine singer as well (though some folks don't like his overenunciation). (PS: that was a truly pun-gent heading today...)
