C'mon Bob, read the newspaper (ok, peruse the old grey lady): I have to agree, it actually puts a crack in my cynical misanthropy (I'm not really that bad...but) that people can rise and resist from such a simple position, adgenda: humanity.

Nothing cryptic 'bout protesting monks, but Paula originally had a long, cryptic internet address where "protesting monks" now appears.

I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed for the Burmese people, and the beautiful Ms. Ahn Sahng Soo Chi, their Nelson Mandela, and the beautiful monks leading this protest movement. Burma (it's a crime to call this country Burma in Burma by the way) is such a typically scary-police-state-third world-place-of-desperation, think North Korea lite. I fear this will not go well as the ruling dictators lose their patience and as the Burmese people's expectations for change grows. Hope I'm wrong. Maybe it will be a Velvet Revolution a la Czechoslovakia 1989 (Frank Zappa was among Vaclav Havel's first famous guests after the Revolution!..but I digress...)
