I haven't released my top 20 CD list yet - but what's curious is that about half of your top ten is in my top ten...while the other half, I haven't heard and in many cases haven't heard of! (I seem to recall, years back when I was a "professional" (cough-cough) reviewer, receiving a copy of something by Life in a Blender - not a name you forget. The music, though - I've forgotten.)
Then, you get to listen to music as part of your job, so it stands to reason you'd've heard more of it than I have.

Yeah, my job exposes me to a lot of music (and possibly asbestos, but I haven't been able to prove this).
2ffy, I credit you with re-turning me onto Of Montreal--I had given up on him/them/it and then you had something on your 2006 megamix (or a glob post?) that I really liked.

Details? Ain't got no details. Way too long ago. Only reason I remember is because I went to Maxwells only a small handful of times. I do recall though that they were opening for someone whom we actually went to see, but I don't recall who. A case of remembering the opening act but not the headliner!

I love Wincing the Night Away. Zach Braff has good taste in music. Both the Last Kiss and the Garden State soundtracks were enjoyable.
