I have to say, me and the kids just loved enchanted. A real new york movie, with one of the best musical numbers I have ever seen.....

I'm happy to see a bit of cross-over between our respective lists; like I said on my own glob, 2007 was a great year for cine... -- aw shucks, I mean movies; and at least half the films you reference were serious contenders for mention on my own -- I still need to see Breach and Atonement -- too many movies get released right at the end of the year for me to catch them all. Damn the studios and their obsessive Oscar-baiting!

The only movie that matches our lists is Michael Clayton. The others I found nothing more than good, except for Year of the Dog which part of me, and it still kills me to say this because I was so looking forward to it, kinda hated it. . .

Opps! I said all the others were nothing more than good, with the exception of Norbit, which was just abolsutely unwatchable-even though I did watch it. At least it was free. . .

A real new york movie...

Yes! This is one of the things I liked about it--great location shots.

I've just looked at Eric's site and I have to know, is he a professional film critic or just a fan? I mean, I love movies but I only saw about 50 of them in theaters this year, which I think is quite a bit above average, but over 400...? The mind boggles!

Eric and Dan see a staggering amount of films. True buffs they are. And Eric, I enjoyed reading your lengthy Best of 2007 preamble. It is a handy reference for Netflixing.
