Puce and chartreuse = absolutely switched at birth. The two names just go so perfectly with each other's color. I'm relieved to have that independently confirmed on your bfob. Of course, the more useful application of the term "chartreuse" helps me keep them straight. Thank heaven there is no Puce liqueur, though apparently there is a sticky-sweet layered shot making use of the unfortunate name.

Janet is absolutely correct - not sure how or why it is, but those color names just aren't right. Also: do you find that every time you go into that Hamlet's place, you have trouble deciding what you want?

This one time I saw a CD in which The London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra redid Police songs. I bought it, being a die-hard Police fan. I spent the next forty-five minutes listening in horror to the most awful renditions of some of my favorite songs... we're talking boy soprano choruses, third-rate soloists, overwrought string orchestra sections, the works. By the way I caught a Santana concert in Dubai two nights ago. Fifteen thousand people of all creeds, races, religions and nationalities gathered in the Festival City arena enjoying the set which went on for two hours. A real experience of a lifetime.
