I liked The Namesake. For me it was the acting of Tabu and Irfan Pathaan that really brought it home for me. This was exactly what my parents were like in the 1970s when I lived in the US. I came out a little differently than Gogol and his sister because I went home early in my life, but it's neat to see what my cousins and friends who grew up there, could possibly be like.

They were awesome. I think the actor who played Gogol was pretty good, too. I know him only from his short stint as Ahmed the teen terrorist on 24, but I'm aware that he was in the renowned Harold and Kumar films.

It's just as well, about the pens. How many pens does one Lojbanistani need? As it is, I can't recall all their birthdates to mind in any given instance.

That's Kal Penn (or Kalpen Modi) and he's a pretty fun actor. Several years ago he was in an indie film called American Desi and was hilarious as a New Jersy raggamuffin type.
