a friend of mine here in Singapore had dengue fever; I'll have to ask her if it was haunting and hypnotic! also, the reported cases here in 2008 are up 60% and they think we are going to have a mini-epidemic this year. Singapore's rep as a "fine" city is kind of overblown, but they do crack down if they find standing water in your yard etc, as means of preventing dengue, and our apartment complex gets "fogged" every two weeks or so. all of that said, i'll have to check out the band/album!
