Lucy, the Wombat--like Santa Claus--belongs to all of us.

Hey! That's spooky! People don't belong to other people!

I'm thoroughly bummed I missed it. Our plane from Pahoenix was an hour and a half late, and my aunt had laryngitis her own self, and an interview at seven the next morning, so I dutifully opted to get her fed and sleeping instead of trying to find the subway downtown to try and catch the last minute? of your set. A bummer about her laryngitis, though, cuz otherwise I'm sure she would've been down with having the nice private chauffer that a Parkinson's philanthropist had sent to pick us up in Newark dump us at the Delancey, not long after 8:00, then drop our bags at our hotel, and we could have found our own way to our hotel for late eats and sleep, but alas....

I kept scanning the darkened outline of the crowd for two very tall people (no dice) and just figured you got waylaid. Next time! Did you have a good time in NYC?

Well, didn't really have any time for outside fun, but I enjoyed meeting M. Ali's oldest daughter, who is a sweety-pie, and our like-old-times "speaking into their hands" detail at the Central Park event wound up being a funny contrast to the TSA process at LaGuardia, which, oddly, seemed the laxest of any I've seen this Spring.

Ah--this was the Unity Walk?

Well, the preamble to it... we had to scurry off to LaGuardia instead of walking. But, milling about among the booths before the bandstand speaches was of course good for good ol' New York people-watchin'. And the relaxed horn ensemble on stage before the speachifying was good.
