Red Hook Fairway has become a weekend must-do for E. and me (though I am not sure it would be so if we did not have a car). We like the produce (especially the organic bananas), the olive-oil tasting stand, the mixed olive bar, the old-world Parmesan cheeses, coffee and tea selections, and the butcher has stuff that is hard to get elsewhere, like rack of lamb. Mostly we like the whole experience, including lunch out on the water, looking out at the SoL. It has become part of a Red Hook ritual for us that includes checking out LeNells for whatever obscure rye whisky they have in, and of course the occasional dinner at Good Fork or Pinamonti gig at Sunny's. Red Hook rocks!

The olive oil section is awe-inspiring.

As for Red Hook rockin', that is the truth.
