Some of these acts for Siren Fest seem a tad laid back to carry a large crowded outdoor music festival. My suspicion is that many of them will be swallowed up by the space alone. We shall see...

In unrelated news, the elephant rehab center in the next county up appears to be on track to open next year. But, it's on Waste Management land near a landfill, which seems like it might be depressing enough that the elephants might revert to whatever they'd been doing.

(Sorry for the silliness, Paula, but I thought you'd be interested to know there was news on the elephant center front... actually it was a story in the paper about removing barn owls from the land and relocating them elsewhere, to make room for the elephants [cuz the owls were living in a decrepid building, that was being demolished, perhaps because various species were smoking crack in it.])
