hmmmm; so strange to see a post discussing both Juliana Hatfield and the Rosebuds. Juliana Hatfield is one of my favourtie performers, and writers, working in pop music; I had hoped to see the very show you describe. Alas, I remained behind in the district of columbia, where I had occasion to fill the Hatfield void by catching the Rosebuds with Grahame. While I was put off by the Tom-Joad-inspired hat, and was very troubled by the guitar sound/house sound, a number of the songs were incredibly ctachy, and the band understood just how to rock. The keys somehow filled just the right spaces [when they were playing], and Grahame-y and I left pleased.

I forgive men for their hats, because I assume that they are balding underneath. Other than that, the R-buds rocked my world.
