I've been rocking an "old school grunge look" my whole life without even knowing it, since kickers and wack slacks is how I roll. What a cob nobbler!

Well that explains it -- all these years I've been wearing my Chuck Taylors with my three-piece suits!

...Maybe the disapproving stares will stop now.

Grigorss: See, if you'd been wearing them with jeans, that would have been okay, since that look "is always a good option for any occasion." Always! For any occasion! Formal dinner at the White House? Jeans 'n' Chucks, check!

As for the "why not" on "transhumanism": well, because the last thing we need is yet another means for the very wealthy to gain advantage over everyone else, perhaps? Or the next last thing we need is for people to believe that our normal sadnesses, limitations, and physical ailments are flaws, faults, instead of part of the human condition? Or, of course, because the potential unintended consequences are rather ghastly to behold? I mean, I've got no problem with the hard of hearing wearing hearing aids...but let's not assume that giving them the ability to hear a cockroach sneeze from twenty miles off is an improvement.

But what do I know? I'm Grumpy McLudd today...think I'll go off and listen to "All God's Children" by the Kinks...

at $25 to $30 for a pair, Chucks are a no-brainer. You could get cheaper but you don't want to advertise that you're broke!
