My only quip with the movie was some of the "celebration scenes," especially the dancing ones after Rachel ties the knot. After a while I just had enough, but kudos to Demme for really making everything feel realistic.

Issa is the Arabic name for Jesus. No connection, though, I suppose.

I completely wore away the grooves on No Borders Here and have been known to paraphrase The Waitress in some fashion at least several times a month.

I had a cassette that had her first record (Jane Siberry) on one side, and Bound by the Beauty on the other side...somehow I got this unlabelled cassette, I think from D. Sallitt. I Walkmaned that cassette all over NYC in the early '90s. I still am knocked out by "Writers are a Funny Breed" "Above the Treeline" and "In the Blue Light."

It must have been me, RT, because those are my two favorite Jane records. But usually I label cassettes! "Above the Treeline" is such a beautiful song. I saw her do an odd little show in Toronto in the early 90s, where she showed videos, talked, and occasionally sang. Her dog Wolf, featured in many songs, was on stage with her. He was old then; he must be long gone.

I do not mean to impugn your labelling abilities! What must have happened is, I copied the tape from you on my also long-gone Sony double-cassette deck, and then never labelled it myself.
