2004-07-12 - 8:07 a.m. Love is all around. No need to waste it. Have been watching the first season of MTM on DVD. While the first season sets up the characters and their m.o.'s for the rest of the series, it's not actually all that funny yet...But still charming and sacred. That said, the mid-season ep. with Rhoda's mother is fantastic, and anytime Chloris Leachman or Ed Asner is onscreen, it's magic, baby. More later, gotta go to work so I can keep you in diamonds and Snausages, li'l puppies. And speaking of puppies, here's Mercy looking like an exiled backwoods princess. I missed the Frank Barbaro fundraiser on Saturday due to screwed up trains (long story, baffling and interesting, but no time to tell it.) However you can donate to his campaign online. One more tidbit. I used the word "anthemic" in a review recently and my editor deleted it and said, "That's not a real word. It's not in the dictionary."
