An important message from today's most important librarian, Janet:

I noticed a comment Jeff made to Paula's blog entry the other day.� You both ought to know that I have access to Harper's full text online back to 1988, and it's extremely likely that you do, too.�

Harper's is available through several periodical aggregators (e.g. Proquest, Ebsco, InfoTrac).�

Your local public/university libraries are likely to subscribe to one or more of those, and probably offer you access from home as well as in the library building, which means that you have access anywhere to 1000s of full-text periodicals, most of which do NOT offer such a robust archive on their own web sites.�

Just because something can't be Googled doesn't mean it's not there, ya know.� Ask your librarian.
