2004-12-01 - 9:38 p.m. The new American Music Club album is swell. So good to have 'em back! I love Mark Eitzel's lyrics and voice. It occurs to me that the Eels were sort of the band I turned to in order to get over the loss of AMC... Although, of course, the rebound nature of the r'ship didn't prevent me from digging them for real eventually. And the Chris Isaak Christmas album is very good. He channels Bing, the King, and puts a twang on the old classics. His originals are darn catchy, too, and I'm all for folks writing new holiday songs. thoughts?
