2006-04-24 - 2:26 p.m. Although "liebniz" is not a term of endearment, it really should be. The Kingdom, a Danish TV mini-series from the 1990s, is my first foray into the realm of Lars von Trier. I've only seen the first episode so far, but it hooked me right good. It's like a slightly less surreal Twin Peaks. The new Pretty Girls make Graves CD is bewitching indeed--lots of intricate drumming and moments of dainty weirdness.
